Style Challenge Day 6: Wear A Bold Print

Hi guys. Phew! Last week was so crazy I couldn't keep up with everything, case in point my 30 day style challenge and weekly video. But I just had to get back to it this week.
For day 6, I had to put on a bold print. I don't know if you have noticed but I am not very big on prints. Every time I shop, I automatically go for solid colours and if I pick prints it will inevitably be either stripes or florals. So for this challenge, I opted for a more abstract print. I love the colours of this tunic-style top. The chiffon fabric is light and breezy making it perfect for the warmer weather.
I paired it with off-white skinny jeans and some beaded sandals. These sandals are a cross between flip-flops and sliders. I haven't worn such sandals in years so it was nice having a change from my usual shoes.
I do believe however, that I need to open up a little to bolder prints and consequently add them to my closet.

WHAT I WORE: Fashion Trance 2012

Hi all!! Happy new month. I hope you are as excited as I am for the holidays. Last week, I won a pair of VIP tickets from Nancie Mwai to attend the Fashion Trance event held at the Mamba Village, Nairobi. I was so excited to have worn. I think this is the first giveaway I've ever won!!!  I went for a practical yet chic look because the weather was so uncertain. I chose my purple denim trousers, a sequin top and wedges. I carried my trench coat because I knew I would be reaching the house very late.   Because sequins can be a little too much, I kept my jewellery simple by wearing my ethnic Indian chandelier earrings which I absolutely love, a polka dot bracelet and purple ring. I had wanted to carry a clutch but then I realized that it wouldn't fit all the things I wanted to carry so I opted for this handbag. Oh and I finally got the first edition of my business cards. I'm so excited, I'd been meaning to get them done for so long that on Friday I ...

Red Carpet Style: 2016 SAG Awards

Laverne Cox Among my favourite celebrity outfits at this year's SAG Awards, a mix of black and white had to feature. This colour combination continues to be an all time favourite of mine. I also fell in love with ankle-length dresses worn by Giulliana Rancic and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. They provided a much needed break from the floor-length gowns that are commonplace at awards shows. Enjoy the rest of the photos below and do share your favourites in the comments below.
