2ND BLOG ANNIVERSARY

Hi all!! Today I mark two years since I started blogging. First and foremost, I would love to thank all of you for all the support you have given me over the last two years.  Over the last year a lot has happened on the blog and in my life that has left me questioning what value I am adding to my readers' lives. I look at some of my previous posts and wonder how I can do things differently. I want to give you all a different experience when you visit Inches To Style.  Hence, with the beginning of my 3rd year of blogging, I have re-examined my reasons for blogging and have decided to take steps to bring my original ideas to fruition. After carefully observing people's outfit choices in the CBD, I felt that something needed to be done. Someone needed to come out and say, "Hey, leggings are not pants!", "You look like you're wearing a...

WHAT I WORE: Chinos and Lace

Hi all!! I hope June has been going well for you. I don't wear trousers as much as I used to. In fact when i was in college, it was very hard to find me wearing a skirt or dress. But as the years have gone by, my style choices have also changed. I wore these chinos, again, for a job interview. It was for an artsy-related job so I paired it with a lace top and my new wedges. Feather earrings and a basket completed my outfit.  Outfit Details: Chinos: DIY, originally from Gikomba Market Lace top: Kawangware Market, Nairobi Wedges: Bus Station, Nairobi Basket: borrowed from Mum Earrings: Ngara Market, Nairobi Necklace: gift I have been working on a new Inches To Style which I had hoped to launch at the beginning of this month, but there are still a few technical things to sor...

What I Wore | Feminine Pieces

Some days ago I watched a YouTube video that inspired me to push myself a bit more. I can't remember what the video was all about but I remember the vlogger saying that you should create more than you consume. That what we consume should serve to inspire us to create more.  Ever since I watched that video, I have been asking myself why I don't create as much as I used to. I feel like I have let my creativity slide and half the time I feel disappointed in myself for slacking. Granted, life has been tough on me over the last couple of years and this has had a domino effect on different aspects of my life.  I would love to get to a point where the happenings in life don't have such an effect on me but that is a work in progress.  I've been trying to push my creativity through my choice of outfits. Most days I gravitate towards my comfortable jeggings and a t-shirt but on other days I actually make an effort to put together two pieces that I would not ordinarily wear to...
