NEWLY STYLED YELLOW MAXI DRESS

Hi all!! Maxi dresses are a huge favourite of mine. I recently got a new one and I just had to try and style it differently.

It's as simple as tying a knot and pinning it in place. I used a safety pin which I had to struggle to hide from public view.

One of the things I love about blogging is that I get so many ideas from all the wonderful bloggers out there. For instance, I learnt this from Megan and Sabrina, two very stylish and inspirational bloggers.

I got this maxi dress as a gift from my aunt and although I wasn't too sure about whether or not I liked it, after wearing it for a few minutes I was in love.

2011 MEMORIES

Black Maxi Dress + Shades Of Red

I love all black outfits. They are perfect for smart casual occasions or those times when you either have no time to think out your outfit or you don't feel like dressing up. I have been told that wearing all black may make you appear lazy because with an all black outfit, you clearly don't need to think too much. What many people don't know is that it is not easy to pull off all black. Do it wrong and you will appear dreary. My best bet for wearing all black is to choose clothes that fit well and accessorize with a bit of colour. In my case, I accessorized this simple yet chic black maxi dress with red low-heel wedge sandals, a burgundy bag and pink earrings. A red lip instantly brightened my face. This dress is quite long and I realized, once again, why I usually save it to wear with heels.
